Itinerary: Day 1: (Optional excursion to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia). Start tour from Tbilisi and travel north to Caucasus Mountains. On the road a short stop at Ananuri Fortress. Cross the Greater Caucasus at Jvari Pass (2395m.) down to Stepantsminda (Kazbegi). Trip to Dariali Canyon. Time permitting and upon your request take one hour hiking in Gveleti gorge to the Waterfall. Stay in Kazbegi. Hotel. Day 2: Explore the area and enjoy the views of Mt. Kazbek (5054m). Walk up to Gergeti Sameba Church. Walk down to Kazbegi. Take trip to the valley of Sno to reach village Juta (2150m). Possible 1 – 3 hour hiking to/from the Chaukhi Mountains in the valley. Drive back to Tbilisi. Arrival. in Tbilisi. End of the tour.
